Q- How much does it cost to join the Sunny Rock 4H?
A- There is a $50 yearly registration fee and $25 per month dues.
Q- At what age can children join?
A- Children can join at 6 years of age.
Q- What time is the barn open from?
A- The barn is open from 8:30am-6:30pm for the public but 4H members can go in anytime.
Q- What other activities can I participate in in the 4H?
A- You can participate in the MA Photography Contest, Fairs, Shows, Visuals and Records. You can also attend field trips with your club.
Q- What will my child learn in the Sunny Rock 4H?
A- Children learn a great deal of things such as making new friends, communication skills, responsibility, leadership, how to run a farm, how to take care of animals, and teamwork.
Q- My daughter is a vegitarian, will she see any of 'that' (chicken, goat, rabbit, sheep: bye bye)?
A- No. Nothing like that will be seen at the barn. But the truth is some animals do get sick either from labor, or other problems and some do end up in Sunny Rock 4H Heaven but they learn to cope with that, thats what life is all about.
Q- What is the time commitment?
A- Approximatly 1-1 1/2 hours a week.
Q- What do I wear to the barn?
A- Dress acording to the weather. We recomment wearing closed toed shoes and pants and shirts you don't mind getting dirty. Sneakers and galoshes are ok. No steel-toed boots: if a heavy animal steps on your foot, it could hurt you!
Q- What do I do when I have to come to feed?
A- Your club leader will show you the ropes but the basics, feeding, watering and cleaning out the pen. You can also walk and play with the animals.
Q- What do I do when I have to feed but I'll be on vacation?
A- Email or call the leader and ask if there is anyone who can feed for you that day. Please let them know 1 week + ahead of time.

A- We tend to always have rabbits available along with chickens. We breed out sheep and goats every year and they are born usually in the Spring. We also sell eggs.
