Visit our Barn

Please Note: Due to the current Covid-19 situation, our barn is currently closed. We will update this page with information about visiting as we begin to re-open.
Come visit our barn and see our animals 7 days a week year-round from 9am to 6pm behind the Ward's Berry Farm store. When you visit, you will be able to walk through the barn, visit the pasture, and feed the animals.

Our barn is filled with rabbits, chickens, goats, sheep, and miniature horses. While you're here, you'll be able to interact directly with our animals and even purchase a bag of grain to feed them. Each animal has a unique personality and temperament and will show you its true colors every time you visit.

Sunny Rock 4-H is a great place for you and your kids to see animals you don't see every day. Our barn is constantly changing with the seasons, so you will witness the cycle of life throughout the year. Each spring, the barn is full of lambs, goat kids, and hatching chicks, and throughout the year you might see baby rabbits. As summer progresses, the babies grow up and get bigger and the sheep move to the pasture to graze, where they are sometimes joined by heifers. Each fall, preparations begin for winter, the animals begin to grow thicker coats and put on weight. During the winter, the animals tend to stay inside the barn more often and the horses and goats can often be caught wearing coats.

On some summer weekends, our two miniature horses will be doing pony rides for children under 50 pounds. The pony ride schedule depends on the availability of our volunteers; for more information click here.

In order to keep you and our animals safe, we ask that you follow a few barn rules:
  1. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
  2. No dogs in or around the barn.
  3. Feed only the grain provided with an open-palm hand.
  4. No entry into the rabbit house or chicken coop.
